guys-positivity:

Here’s to the trans men who can’t come out because of their parents.

Who still have to wear frilly blouses and girls’ jeans because they have no boys clothes.

Who don’t have binders yet.

Who can’t start hormones and aren’t allowed to have hormone blockers.

Who get deadnamed by strangers.

Who still have long hair because they aren’t allowed to get it cut.

You’re still manly, and handsome, and I’m sorry you were born to people who don’t deserve you. Hang in there boys, because someday you’ll be able to escape this awful closet. You won’t be stuck like this forever, I promise.

Hope is dangerous. It makes you weak, vulnerable, brittle and gullible. Because when hopes shatter, they don’t leave you intact. And when you try to pick up the pieces and put them back together, you bleed even more. Every tear becomes a waterfall and drowning in the sea of disappointments, you count yourself as one. You loose yourself. That’s how dangerous it is to hope. Yet, never even for a second do we realise the risk we are exposing ourselves to; for we see the world that lives on hope, not the world that dies because of it.
